How we became a Which? Trusted Trader

Which? Trusted Traders is an endorsement scheme run by Which? that recognises reputable traders who successfully pass an assessment process carried out by our trading standards professionals. Not just anyone can become endorsed. The assessment process includes:

Credit report

This is obtained to validate the financial health of a business who applies to be assessed.

Customer Satisfaction

The Which? Trusted Traders endorsement team contacted a selection of customers from a trader’s most recent work to check references. (They don’t carry out site visits to assess the trader’s work.)

Business procedures

A thorough examination of our business and administrative procedures to ensure that businesses have consumer interests in mind.

Interview and assessment

Our standard assessment was conducted face-to-face, at our business premises, and was carried out by a Which? trading standards professional to fully understand all aspects of how we run our business.

Report

We received a report of the assessment, providing valuable feedback from the experienced assessors to ensure that we meet their high standards before we were allowed to join the scheme.

Who makes the grade?

It is important to recognise that not all business make the grade and achieve this stamp of approval due to the high demands of the assessment.  Only those who meet Which?’s high standards can become Trusted Traders so we are extremely proud.

Complaints Policy

Solarus Energy Ltd always endeavours to provide the best service. However, on rare occasions there may be times where a customer may not be completely satisfied.

To ensure we can put things right for you, as soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out based on the contract terms and to the high standards the business aims to achieve.

Please contact us straight away with any concerns either by phone, email or write to us. If writing, get proof of posting.

Solarus Complaint Procedure

On receipt of your complaint we will respond within 5 working days.

Solarus Energy Ltd will arrange a convenient date to come and view and/or remedy the situation within 28 days.

In the unlikely event that Solarus are unable to resolve your complaint having exhausted the business complaints procedure, it may be necessary to use another complaint service. Where we cannot resolve the complaint to your satisfaction and/or agree to the final resolution requests confirmed to us; and both parties agree a ‘deadlock’ has been reached, you can then escalate your complaint.

Solarus Energy Ltd have access to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service for our domestic installation, service, repair, and maintenance contracts as part of the Which? Trusted Traders Endorsement. If you choose to, you can refer your complaint to QASSS. Before QASSS can deal with your complaint you will need to contact Which? Trusted Traders on 029 20670040 who can explain if you are eligible to use the QASSS’s service.
